Jayne's Travels

Hello everyone. My apologies for not writing something sooner but China has blocked a few websites because of privacy issues and blogger and blogspot, the ones I use for my postings, are apparently blocked so I can't do any postings. Lynn has posted this one for me and another one on Shanghai, mainly on the 2010 World Expo. Thanks, Lynn! I will keep working on writing blogs but you may get them in batches or all at the end.

The tour of China is going well and the people on the tour are great. We saw lots of sights in Beijing including Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and the Sacred Way, and walked.the Great Wall of China. We then moved to Xi'An to see the Terracotta Warriars and the Dayan or Wild Goose Pagoda. Those writeups are in process but not yet complete.

Today we arrived in Lhasa, Tibet and we're trying to get used to the high altitude. We have two full days here to see the sights before heading on to our next destination. The pace of the tour is quite quick so there isn't a lot of free time. However, everything so far has been just great so I'm looking forward to the remaining two weeks.

Take care and I'll post some more when I can.

Jayne
