Jayne's Travels

I am now at the end of my year-long journey. Today I am near London, England and tomorrow I fly home. I can't believe a whole year has gone by. It doesn't seem near that long at all.

I still have a million things to write in the blog and will hopefully keep posting once I get home. e-mail access in some of the countries has been difficult so I haven't been able to get much typed. However, I do have a lot written and a lot more to write about so I'll try and finish up before I finish this blog totally.

Since I last wrote (and I can't get into the last posting to see when or where that was) I have been mainly in northern Europe. After Belgium and the Netherlands where I did an official university visit in Vlissingen, I moved on to Germany. In Worms I did another university visit and in Berlin I just toured around. From there I went to Copenhagen and took a ten-day cruise that went to Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland; St. Petersburg, Russia; Tallinn, Estonia; Gdansk, Poland; and Oslo, Norway. I then spent some time in Copenhagen before flying to Jyvaskyla, Finland for another official visit.

The end of my touring was more time in Helsinki and Tallinn and then on to Riga, Latvia and Vilnius, Lithuania. All of those details will be written up and posted once I get home (I hope!)

Thanks for joining me on this excursion and hopefully I'll get some more postings out and even some pictures. That's all for now as my time has run out.

Cheers.

Jayne
